Yes, it's time for MineCraft mods. Which ones do YOU use?
I'll make a little list and update it as necessary, all the info is from the replies.
The List:
Cartographer G (Used it to map every layer of my world, works for Beta 1.3 and up.)
Humans + (Takes a while to set up but it's good, it has NPCs!)

MineColony(Adds more NPCs, makes gathering easier, you're a boss LIKE A BOSS)
Install notes: Put everything in the .zip file to your minecraft.jar
The Piston Mod(Adds a new block: Piston)
