I downloaded the newest java and I accidently saved it to the wrong program files (I have 3 different program files) if I put it in the normal program files will it be able to detect the path?

To do that, open up Run... and type in %ProgramFiles% .
The folder that opens up is your "normal" Program Files.
So for the Java install folder, choose that Program Files and after install it should detect the java folder.
If not, post again.

If you really can't connect to the server, that means the server isn't running or you aren't a same Hamachi network as the host.Gazbirt wrote:That's all it's saying though, I did everything you said to.
If you can't connect to the host, you can't join the server.
Now, to fix it. The Host has to make sure he has the server properties all set correctly, especially the server-ip part.
in case of outdated software, I've updated the Minecraft Server.zip with the neccessary changes.
You might want to try it again.

Well i have problem too, i made all steps but ended in the RUN shortcut section. I made the shortcut and renamed it to a Minecraft Server, openned it and it says "system can not find the specified path".
Me and bro tried many tutorials and every fails.
But i think problem is, that i don't have the original copy, but pirated it.

I need to know what you had in the run command, because the cause of the problem is there. If all else fails, I'll fix it myself(by using TeamViewer).

If you mean what was writed in RUN (medium-sized black window) when i start it, then it was what i writed before.(system can not find the specified path)

The run command is the insides of the RUN.bat, just open it up in notepad and copy-paste them here. Also tell me in which directory the files are. After that, I can make something of it. That means exactly what it tells out. The server isn't either online or the server can't be connected to. Done this all, but still saying the same thing.
Ok, this is definitive. I made the same things like bro, and i made working server, so i can finally play with him.
His problem was in Windows 7, i have XP.
Many people had same problems and thats because of W7.

The Run file is the file you execute the server with. You enter the server folder, double-click on the RUN.bat file and it will run the program. The console is for checking errors that may occur.
As for what to do with it, don't **** with it unless you know how and why. Just run it to run the server.

My problem is that: when i launch this file it shows: The sustem cant find selected path. I downloaded TeamViever program and ill send u mine id and password. I ask for contact as fast as possible.

Ok thanks to TheDownloader i can now run server.
For all remember: Java version written in RUN program must be exactly the same as as your java version (it was my problem: i have Java 7, and it was written in RUN 6)
So keep that in mind.

Yep, the sound problem is client-side, the server doesn't send you the sounds.
Fix it by checking your sound settings, if it doesn't work, check if your sound card is OK.
